"Open in..." Button Doesn't Open Library

I'm having some trouble with the Word extension using version 5.0.47 on Windows 10. When I use the "Open In Library" button in the Word plugin to edit an item I've cited in the library, nothing appears to happen. If I navigate to my library, the item I've cited is selected, but the window stays hidden unless I manually open it or it was previously minimized.

Is there a fix for this or is this how the feature is supposed to work?
