Reset Zotero in document

I need to start over with Zotero references in a document--the referenced parts are not matched up with the bibliography, ie, the wrong ref is in the bibliography. How can I clear everything and reinsert the correct refs?
  • I'm not quite clear what "start over" exactly means here, but to remove any connection between Zotero and a document you can use the "Unlink Citation" button in the add-on. But it might be worthwhile to describe your problem in a bit more details; there might be a less draconic solution
  • I'll try to be clearer. My superscript numbers in the body of my document do not match up with the correct citation in the bibliography, eg, ref #5 in the bibliography is not the correct one for my superscript ref #5 in the body of the document. I may have clicked on an incorrect response to a pop-up window, because now when I remove refs from the body of the report, they remain in the bibliography, so even though there now is no reference 5 (no superscript 5) in the body, there is still a #5 in the bibliography. That is why I thought I may need to "start over," maybe because I responded incorrectly to a question that popped up in Zotero when I was doing something with a ref in the body of the report.

    Thanks so much!
  • I discovered more about my problem. Now it's just 2 refs that continue to show up in the bibliography even though they do not have superscript refs in the body of the document. I don't know how to get rid of them.
  • Did you see the above? Running through the debug should help.
