Citationstyle: Abbreviation f. and ff. for 2 and 3 pages

Some citation styles require to abbreviate two or three consecutive pages like the following examples: instead of pages 12-13 is should be just 12f. and instead of 12-14 is should rather read 12ff. Does anyone know how to implement something like this in the xml file for a citation style?
I searched around but couldn't find anything useful yet (maybe just using the wrong search terms?).

    I'm afraid that's not possible to automate, sorry. For what it's worth, ff. is almost universally falling out of favor.

    Isn't that still rather common in legal journals? I'll admit that I mostly only see the start page listed without any "f".

    FWIW, my personal preference is to always that the _range_ listed.

    In law, using just the starting page is for the whole article, though, where that's indeed sufficient for the purpose at hand (i.e. quickly finding the article).
    For a pinpoint/locator for a specific argument or citation, ff. is just unnecessarily vague, given that it maybe saves you 2 characters.
