Citation dialog box won't open

About a month ago, I created a bibliography in a Microsoft Word 2016 doc file. All the citations went in fine and the bibliography is correct. It was the last time I used Zotero. Just today, I reopened the same doc file, clicked the Add/Edit Citation button, but the citation dialog box won't open. Word is up-to-date, and I downloaded the latest version of Zotero, but the dialog box still won't open. Any idea what is wrong?
