does not respond

Hi. I updated to latest version of Zotero and when I try to use stand alone my I get the message Zotero no responde (Zotero does not respond). I have tried ininstalling and re-installing and it still does not work. When I reloaded the original version I was told that I needed to update. My references still appear on the website Zotero, but most of the attachments are only on my compute and I cannot search them at present.
Help needed!

Have you just let that run for some time (say 1-2hs)?

I left it for ten hours and still blocked. Anyone else had the same problem?

Is this on Windows 10? There was a recent report of this happening after installing the April 2018 update.

Yes. This was after installing the April update. I will look at the report. Thanks, nice to know that I am not the only one in a mess!
