Downloading Tags

How do I use Zotero to download keywords and subject headings?

    In the General pane of Zotero preferences, be sure that “Automatically tag items with keywords and subject headings” is checked. Then import items using the Zotero browser connector.

    It also does depend on where you're importing from -- you won't get keywords from every database, though we try to get them where quality keywords exist.

    Could you say a bit more about what you're after? I'm not sure I fully understand the question.

    We're interested in analyzing the keywords for patterns. Would it be possible, for example, to download a list of all of the tags into a single text document?

    Not very easily, no. You can export the library to CSV, delete everything but the tag column, remove duplicates (or not if you want counts) and analyze, that's the best I can think of.
