Zotero on my MacBook Pro

I just downloaded Zotero and the connector to use it with Safari. Worked with no problems. I just downloaded Firefox and have been trying to use Zotero on Firefox but it won't work and I can not figure out how to utilize zotero with Firefox. The connector doesn't seem to download and work right either. How do I fix this?

    What version of Firefox? What exactly is happening when you try to download the connector?
