Style Error: [Journal of Materials Science]
Hi,
I'm just finding the style of Journal of Materials Science has some differences with its guideline.
https://www.springer.com/materials/journal/10853
Differences are shown as an example:
Old version (still online):
1. Sun Q, Fang X, Wang Y, et al (2018) Changes in misorientations of { 10-10} twin boundaries in deformed magnesium alloy. J Mater Sci 53:7834–7844 . doi: 10.1007/s10853-018-2068-z
Modified version followed by the guideline of this journal:
[1] Sun Q, Fang X, Wang Y, Tan L, Zhang X (2018) Changes in misorientations of { 10-10} twin boundaries in deformed magnesium alloy. J Mater Sci 53:7834–7844. doi: 10.1007/s10853-018-2068-z
(1) In the reference list “ET AL.” for references with 8 or more authors.
(2) No space after the page information Not this: "J Mater Sci 53:7834–7844 .", but this: "J Mater Sci 53:7834–7844."
(3) The style for numbering the references. Not this:"1. ", but this:"[1] "
Thank you for any help in advance.
Regards,
Fei.

the style is a dependent style of this one: https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:springer-basic-brackets&format=numeric
their guidelines:
Example:
[1] O’Brien CJ and Foiles SM (2016) Exploration of the mechanisms of temperature-dependent grain boundary mobility: search for the common origin of ultrafast grain boundary motion, J Mater Sci 51:6607–6623.
A recent paper from Feb2018:
[1] Asta M, Morgan D, Hoyt JJ et al (1999) Embedded-atommethod
study of structural, thermodynamic, and atomictransport
properties of liquid Ni–Al alloys. Phys Rev B 59:14271–14281. https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevB.59.14271
Are you sure you're actually using the journal-of-materials-science style or the springer-basic-brackets style?
