Unable to save pdf using Chrome connector (on CentOS 7)

Hi,

I'm trying to use the Zotero Chrome Connector to save a pdf from the following link:
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=8310325

The only option I get on the Connector button is to save webpage with a snapshot.

The workaround solution for this (came across this on a previous forum discussion) is to apparently drag and drop the URL into the Zotero collection folder. This results in a prompt asking me to save the pdf to Zotero, so it works...however, when I use the "Retrieve Metadata" option after saving the pdf, it's inaccurate.

Any pointers on how I can get around this? I'm using a university internet connection.

I tried the steps listed out in the Troubleshooting link. I still can't get any IEEEXplore pdf link to work with the Zotero Connector.

I just submitted the debug log..the ID is D1648971942.

Please advise. I tried with an Elsevier journal article and that seems to work fine. I'd really like to be able to work with the IEEEXplore articles as well.

what happens when you save not from the PDF but from the regular item page, i.e.
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/8310325/ ?

well, it should work from the PDF page, too, but generally abstract pages will work better since that's where we're actually getting the citation information (and then can just attach the PDF linked to from there)

Ironically, from the PDF page, I was still getting the citation info..but wasn't getting the actual PDF file along with it.
