Upgrade StorageSaving bookmarks with Zotero

AFAIR previous versions of Zotero allowed to quickly save bookmarks without taking snapshots of pages being bookmarked. That could be done using "Save bookmark" or something like this (can't remember exactly).
With version 2.0b3 and later this feature seems to be gone - web pages are saved along with snapshots (taking snapshots is enabled in options). If I only need a bookmark, I have to remove taken snapshot manually.
Is there now an easy way to simply bookmark a page, with a single action?

Additional changes are coming to make it easier to access the live URL of a web page item and to toggle whether or not to save a snapshot when clicking Create New Item from Current Page with a modifier key.
Follow up on that thread with any additional comments.
