I want to stop using zotero, what is the best way to export all data in zotero?

    really depends on where you want to move to. Zotero RDF is the most complete export format, but few other products can read. EndnoteXML or RIS are probably the most widely understood generic outputs, but they're not lossless

    Because there are some dangerous bugs in zotero.

    I have one collection "folder1" in zotero library.
    When I start zotero, it becomes two collection "folder1".
    Then I delete one of the collections by click "Delete Collection...".
    When I restart zotero, both collections disappear.


    I have many important items under "folder1" collection. Some bugs or new features may be dangerous.

    It's kind of hard to tell what happened -- this may well have been a display glitch, it may also have been a misunderstanding of Zotero's data model.
    If you're interested in keeping using Zotero we can try to figure out what went wrong. If you are not, that's perfectly fine, and I answered your question on export formats above.

    @s7jackson It's up to you, but it would be prudent to investigate the source of the error before exporting data. A few suggestions:

    1. Be sure that you have a backup of your data that includes your Zotero database and attachments.
    2. In Zotero, open Preferences -> Advanced -> Files & Folders, and click "Check Database Integrity"
    3. If errors were found, allow Zotero to fix them.

    (I don't know whether it is the case here, but the most common cause of errors in a Zotero database is placing it in a shared location, such as Dropbox or a shared network filestore.)
