Error message when adding citation since update

Hello,

I keep getting an error message when adding citations, ever since update 5.0.38.

"zotero experienced a problem updating your document. Citationbyindex[i].sorteditems is undefined"

It's to the point where I can't add any citations to any document, not even a new one.
Any suggestions?
