citing from preface of editorial

Kindly help me to enter the data while citing from the preface of the editorial of a journal
  • What exactly do you mean? Journal editorials are usually published and cited just like other articles in the journal. You should just enter it as a Journal Article.
  • Thanks for reply bwiernik. By doing so it shows (Editor 1997, 199). in my document and in the bibliography,
Editor. 1997. “Modernity, Postmodernity and Religion.” Journal of Dharma XXII (3): 199–07.
. I feel something is wrong with my way of data filling

When I find myself with an editorial that only has an author listed as "Editor", I do one of 2 things in the Zotero record: 1) Use a single-field and enter: Editor-journal name; or 2) Add the word "editorial" within parens to the title of the article and for the author I either list "Anonymous" or "No author(s) listed.

In your example the author name would be, Editor- Journal of Dharma. I would not list the editor-in-chief's name, Jose Nandhikkara, as the author because the true author could be any of the editorial staff.
  • Thanks, DWL-SDCA. I think it would work
