Sync error: Empty path for item

  • I have the same problem now with the Zotero stand alone (Report ID 993454158).
    I'm using zotero on a machine without admin privileges, so is it possible to fix without updating the software?

  • (Be sure to check the date on threads — the one you posted to was over seven years old and wouldn't be relevant to a current sync error.)

    Can you upgrade to the latest version (you have 5.0.35.1) and, if you're still seeing this, provide a Debug ID (different from a Report ID) for a sync attempt that produces the error?
  • Thanks for your response. I updated the version (now I have 5.0.38, is it the latest?), but still got the error message. The Debug ID is D819337848.

  • This should be fixed in the latest Zotero beta. You can install that over your current version, perform the sync, and, if it goes through, switch back to the release version. Let us know if you have any trouble.
