Amazon translator author errors
Report ID: 299535788
When importing items from Amazon, some authors save as "results, search" instead of the author's name. This result is inconsistent. Sometimes the author name saves correctly, as from: https://www.amazon.com/Arabic-Historical-Tradition-Islamic-Conquests/dp/081535794X.
Sometimes one author of a multi-author work saves correctly and others do not, as from:https://www.amazon.com/Creation-nihilo-Development-Contemporary-Challenges/dp/0268102538.

dstillmanedited March 23, 2018Yeah, sorry, this is a known issue. It will only happen on some saves. We'll try to have a fix soon.
-
lwebbAs of today, the Amazon translator does not save any book data but rather saves an Amazon book page as a web page with snapshot.

adamsmiththe above work correctly for me; we'd need more details

lwebbOn closer look, it might have to do with the fact that Zotero is trying to download and apply three different updates today. I'll see if everything is working after it finishes.

dstillmanNothing to do with Zotero updates — this was due to inconsistent page structure on Amazon. We've pushed an update that hopefully fixes it. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within 24 hours, or you can update manually by clicking Update Translators in the Advanced pane of the Zotero Connector preferences.
