Zotero keeps making Word crash and I am losing my work

I am working on my thesis and 2/3 times when I try to insert a citation it will make Word crash and I am losing my work. It is super frustrating. It forced me to install an update, which may be causing the problem. Zotero used to work great for me but the past month or so there have been a lot of updates, it forces me to make them to open it, and its making Word crash.

    Could you provide some more details? Which OS, which Word version, which Zotero version, what exactly happens during a crash? are you able to provide a Zotero error report https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems after the crash? Does this happen in a new document, too, or only in your thesis?

    Do you have multiple Word documents open at the same time? Can you produce the crashing at all if you only have one document open?
