Zotero not communicating with Word

Im using the 2017 MacBook Pro and manually installed and integrated zotero and word from office 365. Tool bar is there and Ive followed all troubleshooting instructions, but any time time try to site in Word using Zotero I get this message

"Word could not communicate with Zotero. Please ensure that Zotero is open and try again."

Any suggestions?

    Make sure the Word integration plugin is enabled in Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions in Zotero.

    I have exactly the same issue with the same type of comuputer. I have made sure that the Word integration plugin is enabled in the Extensions page in Zotero and followed all the troubleshooting instructions. However, I am still getting the message that Word could not communicate with Zotero.

    Are there anymore ways I can go about fixing this? I really need to use Zotero.

    Have you tried restarting your Mac? Can you provide a Zotero startup Debug ID?
