It seems like a problem only in Chrome, Zotero connector in Firefox works OK.

  • Yes, I did it. Only, I can't disable security software.
  • There's no reason properly configured security software should block access to 127.0.0.1 (which is the address of the computer itself), so if that's blocked you should talk to your IT department.
  • Maybe you are right, but why it is blocked in the Chrome and is not blocked in the Firefox or IE?
  • You'd have to ask your IT department. You're just trying to load that address in the browser, so it has nothing to do with the Connector itself.

The problem was in the communication between Chrome and institutional Proxy. In the script for settings the connection to the internet has to be exactly defined exemptions for localhost. The "standard" definition of exemption for localhost was enough for Firefox and IE but not for Chrome.
