PDF are not downloaded automatically
In most cases, I have a problem to download pdf directly with the Zotero connector and I have to download them manually. For example these articles:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0028393217302440?via=ihub
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-20676-8
Debug ID for article from ScienceDirect is D1500193028
Debug ID for article from Nature is D1411498706
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0028393217302440?via=ihub
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-20676-8
Debug ID for article from ScienceDirect is D1500193028
Debug ID for article from Nature is D1411498706
And do open access articles on SD work, e.g. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0028393217302701 ?
For Nature I do not use any proxy.
Currently, I am sitting at home so I use a direct connection to the internet. But I have this problem in my work too, and there I am behind the institutional proxy server.
https://www.sciencedirect.com.ezproxy.techlib.cz/science/article/pii/S0028393217302440?via=ihub
because I'd expect that to cause an https issue.
Most proxies hyphenate https adresses as in https://www-sciencedirect-com.ezproxy.techlib.cz/science/article/pii/S0028393217302440?via=ihub
Do you have the proxy set up in the Zotero connector?
When you click on the symbol next to https, what's the exact warning that you get?
Connection with this web is not secure. ... On this webpage, you deactivated safety warnings.
You don't see a https warning on the nature page, do you? (OK, see your answer above)
Add nature - yes, there is not https warning.
You tried updating your translators from the connector with Nature, right?
@dstillman could you check out D1411498706 for why the PDF doesn't download/attach?
I would nevertheless expect the cert override to work, but that's not something we can spend time debugging.
For Nature, we'd need a Debug ID from Zotero, not from the Connector.
