Max number of items in a report?

I want to generate a report from a collection with about 1000 items. Is this possible? When I generate the report it seems way too short, but I am not sure.. it would take me a while to count all the references.

I'm not aware of any limit, no, I'm not sure reports from collections would contain items from subcollections, though, so that might be an issue?
