Alerts when adding new document in a shared library

How can we receive a notification when a document is added to the library, especially when it's a shared library?

Go the library page where you see the items (not the home page of the library) and in the bottom left, you have the RSS feed "Subscribe to this feed".

You can also use the group RSS feed like gurdas linked to with https://ifttt.com/ if you would like to receive alerts in your email, via SMS, etc.
