Upgrade Storagecorrupted document

Hi there, I seem to have a corrupted document and thus followed all your instructions for debugging documents, but without success. I have also tried to isolate the problematic citation, but was not able to. Whenever I try to insert or change a citation, an error message appears: 'The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error - 1728.) @[prepareReadFieldCode:document.m:205]'.
I use word for mac and updated to version 16.9 today. May this be the problem? All was fine until yesterday. And well, the document is about 200 pages long with almost a thousand citations... It's my doctoral thesis, and I need to finalize it.
