Group Library | Cancel Storage Plan to Transfer Group to new Owner

We just canceled our storage plan, because we would like to transfer the group library and it's content to a new owner (within the group). The plan runs out on february 4th. Will the owner need a new storage plan and take the ownership until then? Do we risk to loose all our files if not?

Please help!
Since we are an institution, I don't want to risk our files!

Also, is it possible to buy a storage plan, if the name of the credit card and profile owner are not the same?
  • Files won't immediately be deleted once storage runs out (I think there's a one-month grace period) and they'll never be removed on local machines. But if you do want to keep syncing files, the new owner will obviously need a plan with sufficient storage. Does that answer your question?

The name on the Zotero account does not have to match the credit card holder, no (e.g. we have our group owned by an account named by the institution and paid for by a personal credit card).
  • Hey Adam,

as always thank you for your instant reply;)

Yes, that pretty much answers all my questions.
