Upgrade StorageDuplicates will not merge
I have two versions of a journal article in my database, identical except for the Accessed date and a snapshot on each article which can't be deleted ('Move Item to Trash' is greyed out in the context menu). Although they appear in the Duplicates list together and the Merge sidebar appears when they are selected, the Merge 2 Items button does nothing. The context menu item 'Merge items…' also does nothing when the items are selected together in the main library.
Is the undeletable snapshot relevant? If so, how can I get rid of it? Is there any way I can make these two items merge? I don't want to delete either one because either or both might be in use.

Is this in My Library? Is "Move Item to Trash" grayed out in all views? The only time I can think that that's grayed out would be in a read-only library, but you shouldn't be able to merge items at all in that case.
