Personalized TEI export ?

Hi,

Do you know if it is possible (and how) to personalize Zotero's TEI export ?

I would like to export my references with a special kind of TEI schema (the AOfr schema), meaning I have to export more fields than just the standard ones, and organize them in a special manner that would satisfy the AOfr schema's requirements.

Many thanks in advance !
Justine
  • All Zotero exports are done by small javascript files in the translators directory in the Zotero data folder: https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data

Changes there take effect immediately, so it's pretty easy to test and you can revert them using the "Reset Translators" button in the preferences, so not much that can go wrong. Rather than modifying the TEI.js file I'd recommend making a copy, changing the unique ID at the top (important!) and renaming the translator.
  • Thank you for your answer ! I am trying to do so but I have no notion of JavaScript.
If anyone in the Zotero community is fluent in this language and willing to make a good deed, I would really use the help :-)
    Have a nice day,
  • Ok so someone in my place is trying to put his nose into the JS translator, and we have some issues with Zotero fields' names.
Do you know how/where I can find a list of all the Zotero fields so that we can add them in the JS translator, in order to create XML/TEI ?
For example, I am not sure if the "Lieu" field (I am using Zotero in French) can be used in the translator as "Location" or "Address" (or something else).
    Many thanks !
  • There's no mapping from other languages that's easily accessible, but here's a complete field and item type list in English and hopefully you'll be able to piece this together from that:
