HAT3PREY.pdf

Hi,
I am new to Zotero generally, and attempting to extract annotations from a .pdf. Unfortunately, I repeatedly receive the error message "HAT3PREY.pdf" when I choose "extract annotations" from the "manage attachments" right-click menu.
Can anyone help me?

    You need to attach the pdf to a regular Zotero item before you can use Zotfile’s functions. Right click and choose Retrieve Metadata from PDF. If that doesn’t work, choose Create Parent Item and enter the item info manually.

    In general, you want to import items using the Zotero Save Button in your browser, not by retrieving metadata from PDFs.
