Create a New Collection in Zotero from a Word Doc Bibliography

I have created a long bibliography in a Word Document. Now I would like to edit it. When I change things in Word, they are not reflected in the Zotero library.

2 questions:

1. How do I create a New Collection in Zotero of the items I used in my dissertation
2. Is there a way to edit in Word and have those changes reflected in the original Zotero bibliographic entry

2. No, just the other way around. You edit in Zotero and have the changes reflected in Word.

1. Nothing built in. You can use http://rintze.zelle.me/ref-extractor/ but note that it will create duplicate copies of items in your Zotero library.
