E-mail item type

Just wondering whether this contains all info that is required in the respective bibliographical formats. I.e. shouldn't the addressee be in there too? Also - has anybody ever thought of a translator for at least sthg like Gmail for this? Thanks!
  • There's a translator for the Gmail print view (the other views aren't really feasible given how gmail threads & displays).

Sender & recipient are both part of the template, so that works, but e-mail is not a CSL type and the Zotero item doesn't have a type field, so you wouldn't get something like [e-mail] in the citation. I store the rare e-mails I want to cite as letters with type e-mail, but you can also just add genre: e-mail to the Extra field of the e-mail item.
  • You're the man, Sebastian! :) Thanks!
  • medium: E-mail might be a better variable to use for example with APA or Chicago.

tricky, because letter type gets mapped to genre

(which just underlines that we need to get this straight; the medium/genre situation is a bit of a mess)
