right click link to file "save to Zotero "

I would like to be able to right click a link to a file (like an Excel spreadsheet) in Firefox (v. 57) and "save to Zotero". E.g. an Excel spreadsheet, or a CSV file. We are using Zotero not only for storing PDFs and webpage snapshots, but also data files. Is this possible? If not... what's the easiest workflow?

The browser extension frameworks make this tricky, but it will hopefully be possible down the line.

For now, the easiest option is just to drag the link to Zotero. (You can even start the drag, bring up the application switcher (Cmd/Tab or Alt-Tab), and drop into Zotero.)
