Does deleting from My Library delete from Group Library too?

Hello,

I have been reading some of the manuals and posts on the forum, but still have no clarity on this question... if anyone could help?

If I drag and drop an item or collection from My Library to Group Library....

1. Does that mean I can delete an item/ collection from My Library now (I dont need it in here) and it will still remain in the Group Library? Or does it also delete it from the Group Library?

2. If it doesnt delete it, then I assume only the Group Owner has ownership of that item/collection and can delete it?

    1. yes, correct
    2. No, everyone who has edit rights in the group (which depending on the group's setting can either be all members or just admins) can delete and/or modify that item.

    Add 1 - Yes, items moved to the group collection are not the same records as in your My Library, there was created a copy of items from your My Library. (but if you "move" items between collections in the My Library, that it is still the same item only "showed" in the different subcollection)
    Add 2 - it is based on the permission of the group collection, you can set up it in the Library setting of the group.

    1. That will significantly help with data storage - as I dont need the items in My Library but can keep them in Group Library :)

    2. Sorry with my second question, I meant to ask - does the 'data storage' of that file end up in the Group Owners quota?

    2. correct, yes. So if you're not the owner, it does no longer count against your storage quota.
