Dependent style doesn't fetch parent

The style file from http://library.wu.ac.at/litverw/csl/wirtschaftsuniversitat-wien-institute-for-managing-sustainability.csl doesn't fetch its parent style after installing in Zotero. There's no error but the scrollbar keeps blinking. Any idea what I did wrong in the style?

If you select the style from the Export Items dialog, what happens?

This works for me. Can you provide a Report ID?

What happens after restarting Zotero?

You can check the styles/hidden/ directory within your Zotero data directory to see if the parent style is installed there and if it's up to date. (Or perhaps you have the parent style installed as a visible style and there's some bug from that.)

Restarting shouldn’t be necessary—it was likely just a minor glitch in Zotero looking for the parent in its styles/hidden/ directory. Don’t be concerned unless the issues repeats itself.

I also suspected an older version of the dependent style at first. But I tested it on an almost freshly installed Zotero with untouched styles and directly downloaded the style from the link I posted in the first post. I double checked and the link was correct. And I did so only after checking that the parent style’s renaming has successfully made it to the repo.

Well, Zotero does not use the CSL repository directly, so I would retry this after at least 24 hours. They might still have the old copy.

Coming back to your original post, how do you know that the parent style isn't fetched if there is no error? What are you seeing that makes you come to that conclusion? Have you tried to use the style?

The blinking of the scrollbar is probably unrelated. What platform are you using? (I reported the blinking earlier at https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/291529/#Comment_291529).

I didn't see a sign of the parent style and when I tried to use it I got the error that the style wasn't valid. However, I didn't know of the Hidden directory so I couldn't tell for 100% that the parent wasn't loaded.

I might have confused you with my inaccurate wording. What I meant with repository in my earlier comment was zotero.org/styles. Knowing that there's a delay between merging in csl styles and the appearance on zotero styles I didn't try it before I could reach the style by its ID.

The blinking of the scroll bar seems to be like in your report. I observed it on Mac OS 10.13.

Well, normally if you install a dependent style in Zotero you don't see the parent style at all. That's all hidden from the user.

We might be able to fix the error that the style isn't valid, though. While http://library.wu.ac.at/litverw/csl/wirtschaftsuniversitat-wien-institute-for-managing-sustainability.csl appears to be valid CSL when tested with our CSL validator (http://validator.citationstyles.org/?url=https://library.wu.ac.at/litverw/csl/wirtschaftsuniversitat-wien-institute-for-managing-sustainability.csl&version=1.0.1), it can be cleaned up a little.
