Info on editing the Zotero Documentation Wiki

Hi!
I'm not sure the general Zotero forum is the right place for this question, but I don't know where else to ask my question.
With Zotero 5, I'd like to translate a page to French, but I do not have access to all the information available on the English page (mainly information related to Zotero on Mac). Is it ok to add an incomplete French page in that case?
Thanks
Dominique

What exactly do you mean, "I do not have access to all the information available on the English page (mainly information related to Zotero on Mac)"? With the exception of the Feeds page, some developer documentation, and Zotero screencasts, all of the English pages are now up to date. You can use the information from the English pages to help write the French translations.

Well, since the documentation is in French, I adapt the information to the French version of softwares and operating systems

For example, in Windows, instead of C:/Users/::username::/... it would be : C:/Utilisateurs/::nom d'utilisateur/...

Well, I do not know if Mac changes the words to French and if so, what the translations are.

    I'm translating this page : https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_manual_installation
  • I guess I should translate the explanations, and leave the Mac-specific code in English?

The Mac file system does translate the file paths. For some simpler paths, you can easily look them up using Google (e.g., ~/Zotero doesn't change). For more complex paths, just make a note that the paths are in English not translated.
