Zotero 5.0 - Location of files

Hello,

I cannot access my files any more, neither from the website, nor from the one of my 2 laptops where I've upgraded Zotero with version 5.0. Files are still displayed in the library, but when I double click on a file, an error message appears as follows :

"Attached file could not be found. It may have been moved or deleted."

When I follow the instruction of the following page nothing happens : https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/files_not_syncing

I still have the library on the laptop where I Zotero has not been upgraded.

Do you know how to fix this?

  • Did you check after the installation that the path to your files' repository is accurate?
    Under Preferences>Files & folders> Linked attachment base directory
  • Yes, I did, thanks for your quick answer.

    It was probably a problem with the webdav settings, I uninstalled and reinstalled everything.

    Now I can access my files from my both laptops but I cannot from the Zotero website. Do you know what could be the origin of this trouble? Thanks again.
  • files synced via webDAV have never been accessible from the Zotero website.
