Zotero Plugin on Chrome does not work with older version of Zotero

the Zotero connector for chrome does not work recently.
I have zotero 4.0 for Firefox.

You should update to Zotero 5.0.

Zotero 4.0 is no longer supported, and Zotero for Firefox will soon stop working altogether with any supported version of Firefox (it will currently only run on Firefox 52 ESR).
