Problem with Citations Using American Journal of Archaeology Style

When I first downloaded AJA to my list of citation formats/styles, I was able to get a full note in a citation (footnote or endnote). Now, when I select "Copy Citation" from the standalone Edit menu, I only get a short citation, i.e. just the author last name and date, e.g. Kousser 2017.

This is also the case if I add citations using Word Add-ins, or if I right-click on the item and select "create bibliography from item", selecting notes.

Is there any way I can get a full citation (first name, last name, title, publisher, date of publication, etc.) with AJA in Zotero versus this short citation?
  • Zotero follows the style guidelines, which call for short citations in footnotes/endnotes and a bibliography at the end.

If you want a full reference, use "Copy Bibliography". In the Word plugin, you would just add the bibliography after inserting your citations throughout.
  • Thanks so much for this response! I'm more familiar with Chicago than AJA, hence my query. Thanks.
