DOIs for material other than journal articles

The FAQ on DOIs quite rightly states that "DOIs are now issued to most (new) journal articles, as well as many books, book chapters, and other items." I'm all for the use of the DOI, but Zotero's data entry form for books and book chapters does not have a field for the DOI. Is this to be remedied sometime? Thanks!

    A DOI field will be added to all items in Zotero 5.1.

    For now, you can add a DOI to any item by entering it in the Extra field like this:
    DOI: 10.1234/567890

    When you import items (e.g., book chapters) using the browser connector, Zotero will add the DOI to Extra if it is provided.
