Admin-Rechte auf Windows bei Installation von 5.0
Bei der Installation auf institutionellen Windows-Geräten werden Admin-Rechte verlangt. Dieser Dialog kann weggeklickt werden, anschliessend wird das Programm ohne Rechte trotzdem installiert. Die Installation im Profil-Ordner auf AppData\local sollten eigentlich keine Rechte voraussetzen. Versucht Zotero etwas in die Registry zu schreiben? Ist dieses Problem bekannt?

dstillmanI'm not that familiar with the Windows installer, and we haven't tested this in a long time, but my understanding is that with admin rights Zotero will install to C:\Program Files (x86), and without admin rights it will install somewhere else (maybe AppData\Local?). So that's the reason for the prompt.

gutpyes, but why is there a dialogue box, that asks for admin rights, instead of installing it to AppData\Local without asking?

adamsmithbecause you may _want_ to install globally using admin rights. This gives you the option. This isn't uncommon behavior on Windows (e.g., Zotero doesn't write its own installer)
