Upgraded Zotero-Citations Won't Insert into Word

I have Word 2016 for Mac and after updating to Zotero 5, I cannot figure out how to get my citations/bibliographic information to insert into Word. It worked flawlessly before the update. When I click on the Zotero tab in Word, it will insert a footnote number, but when I select a book to cite, nothing happens. Suggestions?

No, I restarted everything, including my computer, and still no luck.

Do non-footnotes citation styles work (e.g. American Psychological Association)?
Which style are you working with? Which exact version of Word (e.g. 15.40)

Word 15.40 and Zotero doesn't seem to be pulling the information from the library in any format. I don't get an error message, just no information.

When you click the Add/Edit button do you see "{Citation}" appear in the place where the text cursor was?

After giving it a rest for a couple of hours, it now seems to be working fine. Strange.
