Search results show articles not in current folder

When I search for an article that exists in any of my libraries, it is appearing in my search results regardless of what folder or library I am currently in.
(I confirmed that the article is not in a given folder by sorting by creator, etc, and indeed it is not there).

(I noticed this behavior beginning today.)

are you using any add-ons in Zotero? If so, does that sill happen with them disabled?

Okay, Zotero Better Bib(La)Tex is the culprit (the LibreOffice and Word for Windows plugin seem fine).
Thanks adamsmith for reminding me of the basics.

It looks like this issue was identified today on the BBT site, but unfortunately it sounds like there will be a not be an easy fix: https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/issues/798

I've disabled citekey search in BBT until I can find a proper solution.
