Fields lose focus when autocomplete drop-down appears

I have been having trouble for quite some time with fields losing focus when I am entering information (Author, title, etc.) Today I finally discovered the trigger. I begin typing a field. After a few letters, a drop-down menu appears, showing potential entries. Usually none of these entries apply, so I keep typing. This makes the drop-down disappear, but focus is lost, so that the letters I type don't appear in the field. I must click in the field again to regain focus.

Zotero 1.0.9, Firefox 3.0.10, Mac OS X 10.4.11

    I don't think I've seen anything like this, but you might want to test both Zotero 1.0.9 and 1.5 in a new Firefox profile to see if it occurs there for either one. There've been some auto-complete improvements in 1.5, though I don't recall any that would affect this.

    Thanks. Of course now I can't get it to reproduce! If it shows up again, I'll test it against a new Firefox profile.
