Zotero is open but the Zotero Connector reports that Zotero is unavailable

Hello,
I cannot save file to Zotero from Firefox with Zotero Connector, when Zotero is open. Zotero is open but the Zotero Connector reports that Zotero is unavailable.
I have no answer when I go on 127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping
I tried playing with the proxy but is didn't help.

Steps to reproduce:
-go on modules=>Zotero connecor=> preferences=> general
-load http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping in the borwser

Try all the steps here: https://zotero.org/support/kb/connector_zotero_unavailable

If you can't load http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping in your browser when Zotero is open, something on your system is blocking those requests, and you'll need to figure out what that is.

I tried the step regarding the proxy in https://zotero.org/support/kb/connector_zotero_unavailable
However, I don't know which security software are running on my system (Ubuntu), so I did not check that.

Does http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping load on your system?

As I said in the first message, http://127.0.0.1:23119/connector/ping does not load on my system, this is the problem.

Yeah, so you'll need to troubleshooting on your end. There's really not much more we can tell you, other than that something on your system is blocking those requests. That URL should always work when Zotero is open, so if it's not that's a bug in your networking setup. You can presumably reproduce this by running any other HTTP server locally (e.g. python -m SimpleHTTPServer).

FWIW, nothing running on Ubuntu by default would cause this. I'd start by disabling all other Firefox add-ons for testing.

Do you get this ever time? Have you tried simply restarting your computer?

If so, what's the output for `sudo netstat -pln | grep 23119`?

You can also try opening two terminal windows and running `python -m SimpleHTTPServer` in one and `curl 127.0.0.1:8000` in the other.

I just see the last message. In the meantime I restarted my computer and it now works. I did not understand the problem however.
