Syncing problem

In Windows 7 pro, 6.1 (Build 7601: SP 1)

Using Zotero Stand alone 5.0.24 we get error message:
"Error connecting to server. Check your Internet connection."

Sync works in Chrome Zotero Connector 5.0.26

proxies.autoRecognize false
proxies.clientChecked false
proxies.disableByDomain false
proxies.disableByDomainString .edu
proxies.proxies []
proxies.showRedirectNotification false
proxies.transparent true

but the about:config in Zotero Stand alone looks different.
How should it be configured or is there something else to do?
