I need your help with CSL editor : Chicago

Hi,

I have tried edit the "Chicago Manual of Style 17th edition author date" in Mendeley's CSL visual editor but I can't do it.

I need that it appear the first edition date in the citation and references.

For example:Citation

(Mendigorría [1929] 2007)

Reference

Mendigorriía, S. [1929] 2007. Tratado de...

Please, can you help me to do this new style? ¿Can you send me the CSL archive with these specifications?

Thank you for hearing me and best regards from Spain.
  • The Chicago style already includes the original publication date if it is provided.

    For example,
    (Kant [1785] 2004)

Kant, Immanuel. (1785) 2004. Fundamental Principles of the Metaphysic of Morals. Translated by Thomas Kingsmill Abbott. Salt Lake City, UT: Project Gutenberg. http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/5682.
To include the original date in Zotero, add it to the Extra field with this format:
    original-date: 1921

In Mendeley, enter the information into the Note field:
    original-date: 1921
  • Hi again and thanks for your response.
In Zotero is ok, but when I include the data in Mendeley's note, it doesn´t appear the original date in the citation and bibliography.
    I don't understand why?
    Thanks.
