How to re-set online library?

Hi,

I want to replace a bloated library of ~9k items with a refined library of ~2k items.

When i try to re-build the online library from the clean local library, using the re-set option, all that happens is that Zotero once again downloads the material from the online library.

What am i doing wrong?

Is it important that this is a group library, albeit i am its only admin?

Or that i was previously doing this with stand-alone v4?

"Restore to Zotero Server", if that's what you're looking for, isn't currently available in Zotero 5.0, but we're in the process of adding back equivalent functionality. That feature never actually worked on group libraries, though, only personal libraries, so this wouldn't have been possible before. You'll be able to use the new feature on any kind of library.

Just to clarify, though, you normally wouldn't need to use this feature for what you describe, if you simply pare down an existing local library. It's only necessary if you either restore from a backup copy of your database or delete the local database and import new items and then want to replace the online library with the local version.
