Edit Citation by Hovering Over Number Not Citation

Is there a way to edit a citation by selecting the keyboard shortcut for edit citation while holding the mouse over the number to the endnote or footnote in the body of a document rather than scrolling to the end to click on the citation itself? Thanks!

    Not in a foonote/endnote style, no, sorry.

    (You're aware that you can click the footnote character in Word to jump between footnote/endnote and text?)
