Adding new citation changes formatting in word and deletes figure
I am using Zotero 5.0 in Microsoft Word 2017 for Mac. I have a section break after my references list and then a page in landscape formatting with a large figure. For some reason, when I add a new citation within the text of the paper (not the references lists), the entire document changes to landscape formatting and the figure is deleted from my document. I can't figure out why this happening.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
What I suspect is happening is that you happen to have typed the section break within the bibliography field that Zotero inserts. When you insert a new citation, it regenerates the bibliography, which deletes the manually typed section break. This will change the current section’s (apparently all of the preceding parts of the document) formatting to the following section’s (that is how Word section breaks work). You can check this by turning in the proofing marks view and see where the section break is.
When you reinsert the Bibliography, add some blank lines between it and the section break before you insert.
