Upgrade StorageWhy no autofill possibility for already imported orphan PDF's?
Hello,
I have a bunch of PDF's that i've dragged to Zotero. For some of them zotero fails to fetch the metadata and create items even though they have DOI/ISBN in the file.
So - what i am baffled about is: why can't i select a PDF and tell zotero that "hey, here is the PDF and I want you to do your magic with this DOI/ISBN"?
Creating a new item with the magic wand and then dragging the file as its attachment is TEDIOUS as there is a long list of stuff and i need to drag the PDF for ages to be able to drop it on top of the created item.
Please tell me there is some more sensible way to easily create the parent item to host a PDF and just autofill the fields like Mendeley does for DOI's. Why can't I click just "Fetch stuff" next to the ISBN/DOI fields and get everything filled up?

adamsmiththere's no particular reason -- and in fact this has been planned for a while. But while it's not crazy difficult, it's just that someone needs to do it and it's not like it's a 10min effort either.
