Hey,

What will happen to Scaffold with Mozilla saying goodbye to legacy add-ons? Is there any plans and / or anyway to make it webextension?

Scaffold runs inside Zotero 5 Standalone -- if you build the newest version from the github repository, it includes a browser window.
