What's happening for Firefox 57

Firefox has recently announced "legacy" add-ons -- and it automatically labels Zotero as a legacy add-on -- will no longer be supported by the upcoming Firefox 57 -- due for mid-November. So what's happening with developments in Zotero to make it usable in Firefox.
  • Zotero 5 has been out for months with Firefox connector. FF 57 compatibility was one of the prime motives for releasing it:

  • many thanks -- I've just been relying on auto update -- for some reason it hasn't updated to FF 5, but now .... :-D
seems like I've been using the Desktop version of Z, not that crazy -- use so many different browsers, and in the past I've had importing using the add-on
    Live and learn!
again, thanks for the quick reply
  • (We haven't pushed Zotero 5 or the Zotero Connector for Firefox to Zotero 4 users yet, but we will before Firefox 57 is out.)
  • thanks for the further clarification -- still not sure what will be the advantages of the connector, but I've been getting by OK without it yet, so no worries before November 14
