Zotero icons don't work anymore
I and another Zotero fan have installed Zotero 5.0 and the Zotero Connector. For a few days, we were able to import bibliographic information the "usual" way by clicking the icon in the Firefox toolbar. Last week, this stopped working completely.
I have tried all the instructions on Zotero's "Issues saving from websites" page.
Here is an error number: 380201416. I don't know whether that is from trying and failing to import the data via the icon or from some other recent action.
I'm not sure I ran the debugging properly, but here is the output:
D1943890524
I followed your instructions "Firefox: type about:addons into the address bar, press return, and click the “Preferences” button next to the entry for “Zotero Connector”. However, I do not have "preferences" but rather "options". When I click these, I get a new page that shows icons for "general" and "advanced" but neither work when clicked.
I have also tried reinstalling the Connector, but that didn't change anything.

adamsmithWhich Firefox version?
-
janelfamily5.017
-
adamsmithThat's not a Firefox version. Click on the Three horizontal bars at the top right, then the question mark, then about Firefox.
-
janelfamilySorry -- 51.0.1
-
adamsmithYou'll need to update. Zotero requires as a minimum the latest ESR version of Firefox (currently 52), though most users on their own computers should be using the mos recent version of Firefox, version 56.

janelfamilyThat did it! Thanks! I guess Firefox doesn't automatically update....
